Believe it or not, knitting is going to be relevant to my upcoming travels. Mainly because I've been trying to make sure that I have enough of a project to do while I was on the plane to and from New Zealand. In total, it's an 18 hour trip. 13 of that is just straight flying from Los Angeles to Auckland, which will be the longer continuous flight I've been on so far.
The deep red piece on the left is going to be the project I take with me because it has shorter needles. Plus, it's going to be a 70" long scarf in a basket weave stitch and I only have 3.5" done so far. I hope that translates to plenty to do for me on the plane while watching movies. The red/mauve piece in the middle is the one I'm almost finished and I just started on Thursday. It's going to be another skull cap like the purple piece at the top. Though, I'm going to need to get more yarn today to finish it up because I made this one longer.
So, the question is then... can I keep myself from knitting for another week and a half until I leave for my trip or to I start another project? Meh, I guess I'll decide when I finish up this second skull cap. Woo, another hat I can take with me to NZ. :)
love your colors....they look so neat and you do come from a family of knitters...smile
